Domaine Buisson-Charles

Today managed by Catherine Buisson and her husband Patrick Essa, the Domaine Buisson-Charles, of modest size - 6.3 hectares - has been cultivating for several generations plots of land located on the finage of Meursault, which completes with the vintages of Volnay and Pommard for its red wines, as well as Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Chablis Premier Pru and Grand Cru and Corton-Charlemagne.

The company cultivates Meursault and Meursault Premiers Crus on soils with very different climates, which allows to produce a complex mixture of cuvée, "vieilles-vignes" of Meursault and to isolate particular vintages such as Tessons in a village and Charmes, Cras, Bouches-Chères and Goutte d'Or in premiers crus. The very old vines - aged between 30 and 90 years - are naturally not very productive and allow to obtain, after the vinification and refinement, very concentrated wines destined to a long aging. A presumed choice that fixes the production of the company in the long run.
