Description
A still white wine from Collio in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, 13.5% ABV, produced by Venica. 100% Chardonnay, an international classic that finds its ideal terroir in this region. 0.75 L bottle, 2024 vintage. After harvesting, the Chardonnay grapes are macerated for approximately 12–4 hours at a temperature of 10–2°C in special containers, protected from oxygen by innovative systems that recycle their fermentation carbon dioxide, reducing the antioxidant content. The must ferments and ages on the lees for 6 months in large 20–27 HL wooden barrels and 5 HL tonneaux (30%) and in steel tanks (70%). A particularly fruity bouquet, with notes of ripe exotic fruit (pineapple, mango, banana), floral hints of violet, jasmine, and lime, citrus nuances, and light buttery and smoky tones that, however, do not overwhelm the typical varietal characteristics of this grape. Bright and intense straw yellow. Fresh, savory, with just the right amount of acidity, ample and complex, very consistent with the nose.
