Description

What kind of wine is it

Champagne Bord de Marne Brut by Tristan Hyest is a French wine made from a harmonious blend of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In the glass, it displays an elegant straw yellow colour, enlivened by a stream of fine, persistent bubbles. The bouquet opens with delicate floral notes, fruity hints and the classic aromas of bread crust. Crafted using the Traditional Method, it offers freshness and a long-lasting finish on the palate. The Brut dosage ensures a clean, precise and well-balanced drinking experience.

Where does it come from

This wine originates from Trélou-sur-Marne, in the heart of Champagne. Its name directly refers to the banks of the Marne river, a natural element that profoundly influences the microclimate and characteristics of the area. Here, winemaker Tristan Hyest defines the blend’s identity by focusing on Pinot Meunier, complemented by Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The careful artisanal approach enhances the local provenance, steering the style towards a strict aromatic purity and lively mineral freshness.

How is it produced

Production follows sustainable practices and unfolds through the stages of the Traditional Method. A key technical moment is the ageing in partially filled barrels managed with the solera method, which imparts structure and complexity to the perlage by integrating reserve wines over time. Served at a temperature of 6-8 °C, Champagne Bord de Marne Brut is at its best as an aperitif. It is also ideal for accompanying refined starters, fish dishes, shellfish and selections of soft cheeses.

History and Curiosities

The Champagne Bord de Marne Brut by Tristan Hyest embodies the artisanal essence of an independent winemaker from Trélou-sur-Marne. Crafted using the traditional method and following organic practices, this exceptional wine celebrates the region through a skilful blend of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Its uniqueness lies in its ageing in partially filled barrels, a solera-style approach that preserves reserve wines. The name pays tribute to the banks of the Marne, offering a non-vintage cuvée with a pure and authentic identity.

From this winery
The values that have been passed me are thanks to my father, who decided to learn the work of the vine and wine, I received all these in addition to my champagne heritage.

From his experience in different vineyards, he had an indispensable expertise and understanding of the desire to preserve this heritage, which prompted me to graduate from the School of Viticulture.

In 1999 I decided to acquire solid experience.

In 2001, I personally took over the vines and obtained replanting rights. Then, in 2003, with a small holding of 2.5 ha, I decided to get into the development of my own vintages, creating a champagne with a unique style...
