Description
Still white wine from Etna DOC, 12.5% ABV, produced by Cantine Tornatore. 100% Carricante, 2022 vintage. A white that expresses the complexity and elegance of the Etna terroir, with a minerality and persistence that make it unique. Founded in 1865, the Tornatore winery boasts a long winemaking tradition. The grapes, harvested by hand in small crates, are quickly transported to the cellar where they are manually sorted on a conveyor belt. Destemmed and lightly crushed, they are sent to the press where they are gently pressed. The resulting must is fermented, without any temperature control, in 225-liter acacia barriques. Once fermentation is complete, the wine is aged on the fine lees for approximately 8 months. Aged for approximately 8 months in acacia barriques and 6 months in bottle. Distinct aromas of vanilla, honey, broom flowers, and ripe yellow peach. Straw yellow with intense golden highlights. Elegance and persistence on the palate are complemented by extraordinary complexity and flavor.
