Description
Still red Etna DOC, 14% ABV, produced by Theresa Eccher. Blend: 80% Nerello Mascalese, 20% Nerello Cappuccio. 0.75L bottle, 2017 vintage. A red wine made on the slopes of Mount Etna, Sicily, by a winery that makes uncompromising quality its philosophy. The grapes come from vineyards located between 700 and 900 meters above sea level, on volcanic soils rich in sand and ash. Temperature-controlled fermentation and aging in used French oak barrels for 18 months. Very intense and complex aroma, with notes of cherry, vanilla, leather, and a light balsamic note. The flavor is elegant, balanced, fresh, with a good acidic structure, long, savory, and persistent.
