Description
Still red Barolo DOCG, 13.5% ABV, produced by Tenimenti Ca Bianca. 100% Nebbiolo, 2020 vintage. A Barolo born in the heart of Piedmont, in Alice Bel Colle, from grapes grown with care and passion. Intense aromas of ripe morello cherry, spices, and light leathery nuances. Long controlled maceration (approximately 10 days). Malolactic fermentation. Aged for approximately 24 months, partly in Slavonian barrels (30 Hl), partly in new and second-use French barriques. Garnet color tending towards deep blue. Soft tannins and good freshness, with an aristocratic aftertaste of licorice.

The headquarters are in the Cascina Spagna, a farmstead acquired in the 1980s whose origins are rooted in history, at a time when the Spanish were at war with France and the Venetian Republic, in the 1620s.
Its high-hill position made it a strategic site, offering an overview for everyone travelling across the entire valley beneath. In August 1997, the estate grew to include the Cascina Polsino farm of about 9 hectares under vine, in a single plot of prized terrain in the estate.
Tenimenti Ca’ Bianca occupies an area of more than 24 hectares in a single plot, set around the cellars, and the central viewpoint offers a stunning view. The lands around the estate are particulary dedicated to the cultivation of vines. They were formed 13 million years ago, in the Miocene period, on the sandy bed of a quite shallow ancient sea. The estate grows a selection of Dolcetto, Gavi, Moscato, and Brachetto, as well as three different types of Barbera, a local varietal which adopts the DOC Barbera d’Asti. Read more
