Description

What kind of spirit is it

T’Arama is an artisanal liqueur from Veneto, Italy, by Arama that harmonises natural peaches with carefully selected green and black tea leaves. Boasting a bright golden yellow colour, it offers clear, precise aromas of juicy fruit and black tea. The palate is fruity and refreshingly smooth, striking a delicate balance between the natural sweetness of the peach and the structural tea tannins. With a moderate 13% ABV, this liqueur provides a clean tasting experience that culminates in a lightly bitter finish, made entirely without colourants or preservatives.

Where does it come from

Originating from Veneto, Italy, this liqueur draws inspiration from the sixteenth-century arrival of tea leaves in the Venetian Lagoon. Its regional identity is anchored in the use of ancient Venetian peach varieties, which impart an authentic and robust fruit profile. These local orchard fruits are thoughtfully paired with specific green and black teas to create a structured botanical blend. This historical connection to maritime trade routes results in a fruit-forward liqueur that maintains the distinct aromatic definition of its natural ingredients.

How is it produced

The artisanal production relies on a delicate handcrafted infusion, steeping whole tea leaves and fresh fruit with water, alcohol, and sugar. This meticulous technique preserves the natural theine of the teas while extracting a highly precise flavour profile. Crafted without any artificial additives, the method ensures a vibrant, authentic result. It is a refreshing liqueur defined by a crisp fruit core and a clean, slightly bitter finish driven by the natural botanicals.

History and Heritage

Arama
From this winery
Arama comes from the verbs "to plough" (arare) and "to love" (amare). Both share the "a" of anima—soul—reflecting the core principles of the Arama world. If arare represents the ancestral work of the land, amare is the verb of life itself. To love the work of the earth means to love oneself, one’s roots, nature and the surrounding world.
Read backwards, Arama becomes Amara ("bitter"), overturning the usual association of Radicchio Rosso di Treviso with its naturally bitter taste.

In 1862, Radicchio Rosso di Treviso was mentioned for the first time in the publication L’Agricolo. The beauty of its variegated leaves, its unique flavour and its many beneficial properties inspired our great‑grandparents, in the mid‑1900s, to begin selling Radicchio Rosso di Treviso outside the Veneto region. While most people used radicchio as a table vegetable, during the filò—evening gatherings in rural homes—farming families began preparing infusions using the roots and leaves of the radicchio.
