Description

In the heart of Barolo. From the heart of the village of Barolo, the long Cannubi hill juts out in a northerly direction, basically delimiting two slopes, one looking west and the other east. In a part of this hill, traditionally called Cannubi Boschis this Barolo is born, which synthesises the regal characteristics of Nebbiolo, of a marly and moderately compact soil and of a climate that every year surprises with its originality.

Fruit of experience. In Barolo, Cannubi Boschis is a precious vineyard. We have been cultivating and vinifying it with pride since 1985, certain of its uniqueness and extraordinary production potential. Since 2013, the name Barolo Cannubi Boschis has been changed to Barolo ALESTE. Luciano thus wanted to dedicate it to his grandchildren, Alessia and Stefano.

In any case, it is a wine that knows how to evolve over time. Only after years of slow and silent evolution is it known that Nebbiolo gives its best characters. Our Barolo ALESTE is also one of the protagonists of the ‘sibi et paucis’ project.

Profumo

Perfume

The Barolo Aleste 2020 is surprisingly generous for its young age. Red fruits and flowers dominate the nose, with earthy and mineral notes. This wine shows more intensity than its brother ‘Le Vigne’, with which it shares elegance and early generosity.

Gusto

Taste

On the palate, the tannins are more pronounced, with rich fruit aromas and marked acidity. While showing good intensity and concentration, this vintage of Aleste, unlike ‘Le Vigne’, will still need a few more years of maturation to establish its character. The considerable intensity does not overshadow its harmony and elegance. On the contrary, it ‘gives it an extra edge’!

"Le Garagiste". Our story started in the 70s in our Family garage and since then it's been brought forward with heart, commitment and much presence of mind. From the simple things, Sandrone's philosophy was born. Today as much as yesterday, but with stronger and solid roots, we keep on doing our work well.

Since the first beginning of his story, Luciano Sandrone has always had a clear philosophy of quality in mind, which has always been fully shared with his wife Mariuccia, his brother Luca and his daughter Barbara. Year after year this philosophy has been refined.
