Description
Still red Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG, 15.5% ABV, produced by Monte del Frà. Blend: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella. 0.75 L bottle, 2019 vintage. An Amarone born from the Bonomo family's passion for Valpolicella, a wine that tells the story of a region and a family that has dedicated itself to the land for over sixty years. The grapes are harvested around the second ten days of October after a brief drying period on the vine, which continues in the drying room in humidity- and temperature-controlled crates. The grapes rest for approximately 120 days, depending on the season, until the sugar concentration reaches at least 28% - 30%. On the nose, it is intense, with hints of cherries in alcohol, plums, licorice, leather, tobacco, cocoa, and spices such as black pepper. Deep ruby red in color with garnet highlights. Notes of coffee emerge with age. Dry, enveloping, full-bodied, harmonious, intense and persistent on the palate.

Almost two centuries later, in 1958, Massimo Bonomo rented two rooms and the adjacent fields. His family opened a Frasca, a typical Venetian bulk wine shop. They made wine and grew peaches, strawberries, and wheat.
Today, after over 60 years, the Bonomo family is still managing Monte del Fra`: the second generation, with the brothers Eligio and Claudio, has been joined by the third with Marica, Silvia, and Massimo. The years pass, and the generations change, but something will always stay the same: the utter commitment to the land. Read more
