Description
Kamiki Whisky is a lightly peated blended malt crafted in the ancient city of Nara and aged in Yoshino Sugi casks, the Japanese cedar used for centuries in the construction of Shinto shrines. It is effectively the world's first whisky aged in Japanese cedar casks, which, due to its refreshing aroma, are considered a sought-after wood for maturing other local beverages. A small batch whisky because it is produced in limited quantities, the Kamiki Blend Malt already has its essence in its name: in Japanese, Kamiki means "breath of God." Nara is also home to the Omiwa Temple, an ancient Shinto shrine that serves as a protective building for Japanese spirits producers. This blend of rare Japanese malt whiskies is blended with pure spring water and is not chill-filtered. To achieve a perfectly smooth taste, the master distiller ages the spirit twice in Japanese cedar barrels. The pleasant smoothness of Kamiki Blend Malt Whisky has the virtue of calming the mind and soothing the body. The packaging is also refined, featuring a red scroll attached to the neck of the bottle and a precious gift box. Furthermore, the bottle's shoulders directly evoke the typical roof of Japanese Shinto shrines. Among its awards, it has won a silver medal at the 2017 International Wine & Spirit Competition.
