Description

Still red Chianti Classico Gran Selezione, 14.5% ABV, produced by Lornano in Tuscany. 1.5L magnum format, 2015 vintage. A wine that embodies the tradition of Chianti Classico, with Sangiovese grapes carefully selected and vinified to enhance the terroir. The Lornano winery has been owned by the same family since 1904, and has been a member of the Consortium of the Chianti Classico Gallo Nero Historic Brand since its founding in 1924. The grapes are vinified in modern stainless steel tanks, with maceration on the skins for an average of 25-30 days at an average temperature of approximately 26°C. Malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barriques, where it remains for approximately 30 months. At the end of the aging period, after careful selection of the best barriques, it undergoes a further 6 months of bottle aging. Aromas of wild berries, with blackberry predominating. Intense and concentrated ruby red color. Full-bodied and balanced, with elegant and velvety tannins, it is fresh and lively on the palate, with a very long finish.
