Description

What kind of wine it is

Champagne Exclusiv T Extra Brut by Eric Taillet is a Blanc de Noirs that highlights Pinot Meunier. This Traditional Method stands out for its elegance and creamy texture achieved through careful ageing. On the nose, it reveals aromas of ripe and caramelised apricot, while on the palate it unveils enveloping notes of vanilla cream and pastry, completed by a delicate touch of white flowers. The roundness of the sip maintains a dry profile, fully consistent with the Extra Brut dosage.

Where it comes from

The grapes are grown in six villages around Baslieux-sous-Châtillon, in the Vallée de la Marne, an area where Pinot Meunier expresses extraordinary energy. The soils, characterised by marl, clay and sand, give the wine a smooth profile and great precision on the palate. The plots, managed with a biological and sustainable approach, are home to old vines forty-five years of age. This viticultural heritage encourages aromatic concentration and ensures longevity, allowing the wine to evolve beautifully in the cellar.

How it is produced

The production of Exclusiv T Extra Brut follows the principles of the Traditional Method, with ageing on the lees for twenty-four months. To preserve the authenticity of the fruit, the wine is neither filtered nor cold stabilised. This artisanal care provides a richness ideal for accompanying shellfish and fish-based dishes. Its natural softness also makes it perfect for starters and cheeses. It is recommended to serve at a temperature of 6-8 °C to enhance its persistent and clean finish.

History and Curiosities

This Champagne from the Vallée de la Marne showcases pure Pinot Meunier from organic grapes. The 45-year-old vines are rooted in marl and clay soils, offering a traditional method Champagne that is unfiltered and aged for 24 months on the lees. It stands out for its elegant creaminess and pastry notes, making it ideal for enhancing shellfish. This Blanc de Noirs also boasts extraordinary longevity, capable of evolving for up to 10 years in the cellar.
