Description
Richebourg is one of six grand cru sites in the village of Vosne-Romanée, in the Côte de Nuits of Burgundy. It is one of the largest sites in the village and is famous for its full-bodied, muscular style of Pinot Noir. The wines of Richebourg are in fact some of the most opulent in Vosne-Romanée, displaying hints of terroir and dense fruit, and are capable of keeping for many years.

Pairings
At 25 years old, Anne saw the family domaine grow from 3 to 6.5 ha. Recently, she invested in a new cellar. She is a winegrower suspicious of certitude and fastidious about maintaining her freedom.
As a female winegrower, Anne knew how to prove herself and convince all who doubted her ability to manage a domaine. She showed that she had not only the shoulders but the head to make her family heritage one of the greatest domaines of Burgundy.
In 1984 she had to stop studying Arts to study vines’culture and oenology in Beaune and Dijon. Now her passion for vine and wine as well as her talent, sensitivity and professionalism position her as a winemaker amateurs can rely on.
A mother of 3 children, Anne spends all her time working at the Domaine and taking care of her family. Read more

| Origin | La Romanée, a grand cru vineyard in the Vosne-Romanée region of Burgundy, is the smallest AOC in France. It covers just 0.8 hectares of land on the hillside above the famous Romanée-Conti vineyard and the village of Vosne-Romanée itself. La Romanée is a monopole of Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, which makes Pinot Noir from a small vineyard. La Romanée wine may be slightly less refined than Romanée-Conti, although it has enough structure, vibrant acidity and characteristic aromatic red fruit to make it one of the best wines in Burgundy. |
| Soil composition | The soil consists of gravel limestone with a moderate proportion of clay, very similar to the Romanée-Conti vineyard on the slope below. However, La Romanée is slightly cooler and the soil is slightly thinner. The site is also remarkable because it is one of the few climates in Vosne-Romanée where the vine rows run along the profile of the hill, rather than on the slope. |
