Piana Rotaliana is a plain located between the Adige River and the Noce River, surrounded by the Dolomite rock walls of the Mezzocorona and Mezzolombardo mountains. It is an area formed by the Adamello and Presanella glaciers, enjoying significant temperature variations between day and night due to the cold winds from the alpine glaciers and the warm air currents from Lake Garda.
Thanks to the glacial movement, the subsoil is characterized by a layer of fertile sand and silt with the presence of Tonalite pebbles.
On this unique soil, where the rock still plays a significant role, Teroldego vines grow, cultivated according to the traditional pergola doppia trentina. Read more
