This wine comes from an estate classified as a Cinquièmes Crus in the official Bordeaux wine classification of 1855. The vineyards extend over 65 hectares, with a density of 10,000 vines per hectare. Vinification involves fermentation lasting 15 to 21 days. Aged for 15 months in oak barrels, 40% of which are new and renewed annually. The bouquet is a broad bouquet of red fruits. As such it is entitled to only the Haut-Médoc appellation for its wines. The estate's 65 hectares of vines (60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot) are planted at a dense 10,000 vines per hectare and have an average age of 35 years.
