Still red Lagrein Alto Adige DOC, 13% ABV, produced by Kaltern Caldaro. 2023 vintage. A Lagrein that expresses the strength and authenticity of the native Alto Adige grape. The grapes come from hillside vineyards with south-east exposure. Fermentation on the skins with 10 days of maceration at 28°C. Aged in stainless steel, 75hl wooden barrels, and barriques. Fruity aroma with hints of plum and blackberry, with notes of chocolate and coffee. Very intense ruby red color. Full-bodied with powerful and well-integrated tannins, a long and persistent finish.

| Story | Lagrein is one of the three indigenous grape varieties of Alto Adige. He is related to Teroldego and Syrah. Characteristic of the species are the dark red colour and fruity berry flavours that are coupled with spicy-resinous notes of chocolate, tobacco and undergrowth. |
