Description
Still red wine from Tuscany, 14% ABV, produced by Bertinga. A balanced blend of Merlot and Sangiovese, 2017 vintage. The grapes are hand-harvested in 10kg crates and carefully selected. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats and concrete tanks, and the wine ages in Austrian oak tonneaux and French oak barriques for approximately 18 months, followed by further bottle aging. On the nose, captivating notes of red fruit and small black berries complement spice, undergrowth, and mineral notes. A full-bodied and structured wine with dense, substantial tannins. The palate is taut, with a lovely mid-palate opening and a finish of great freshness and persistence.
