Valpolicella is the DOC red wine produced in the province of Verona. It is a wine that is made from a blend of different grape varieties, the most important of which is Corvina. Also decisive are Rondinella grapes and those from the Forselina, Negrara and Oseleta grape varieties: Corvinone can also be used instead of Corvina. Valpolicella is characterised by a very strong ruby red colour and a pleasant, suave aroma reminiscent of bitter almonds. While its velvety or dry, full-bodied, savoury, harmonious and bitterish flavour are the hallmarks of one of Italy's most sought-after red wines. On xtraWine ample space is dedicated to the presence of Valpolicella wines produced from red blend and corvina vines and belonging to the best 2012 and 2013 vintages. All bottles featured on xtraWine belong to important wineries such as: Tenuta Sant'Antonio, Tedeschi, Allegrini, Bolla and Zenato.
