The story of Champagne G. Tribaut begins in 1935, when Gaston Tribaut arrived in Hautvillers — the cradle of Champagne and the village of Dom Pérignon — and started tending the vineyards with a devotion that would shape the destiny of his family. What began as a modest adventure rooted in the slopes above the Marne soon grew into a legacy of craftsmanship and independence.

A few years later, Christian Tribaut joined his brother Ghislain, who had just acquired his first parcel of vines. Together, they took a decisive step: the release of the very first bottle bearing the Tribaut name. It marked the moment when the family’s work in the vineyards became a wine of their own, a signature.

Marie‑Jo, Ghislain’s wife, added a new chapter by opening the very first tasting cellar in Hautvillers — a warm, welcoming space where visitors could discover the house’s champagnes. This spirit of hospitality became part of the domaine’s identity.

The construction of the cellar, winery and press marked a turning point: the house gained full independence, mastering every stage of production from grape to bottle. Soon after, the first bottle sold as an independent producer sealed years of effort, patience and belief in their craft.

A new era began when Vincent and Valérie, children of Ghislain and Marie‑Jo, joined the estate. They carried forward the family expertise while bringing fresh energy and vision. The house expanded its facilities, modernised its equipment and continued to refine its style.

With the arrival of Gauthier, Valérie’s son, the fourth generation entered the story. His presence coincided with the creation of a panoramic tasting room overlooking the vineyards — a place where visitors can feel the landscape that shapes every cuvée.
