In 1984, the desire to achieve something great arose. Since then, we have been breaking new ground and producing high-quality sparkling wine using traditional bottle fermentation. At the time, this was unthinkable for many people in Germany. Today, we cultivate 10 hectares of vines as a family, organically of course. We have a great passion for the classic Burgundy grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier. Our vineyards in Rheinhessen and the Palatinate allow us to produce sparkling base wines with minerality, depth and complexity. The grapes, which we harvest by hand, are processed gently and only the centrepiece of the grape - the cuvée pressing - is used for our sparkling wine.

Our decision to focus exclusively on the production of quality sparkling wine is helping us to bring more international attention to German sparkling wine. Since 2020, we have also been a member of the VDP (Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates) - as the first pure sparkling wine producer - and are thus further advancing the German sparkling wine scene internationally.
