Moscato di Trani is the wine D.O.C. more noble and ancient than Puglia. Already in the years around the year 1000 the Venetians began to trade this wine, until they signed an agreement with the "Doge di Trane". The Count of Trani, Roberto d’Angiò (14th century), occupied himself so much as to put a limit on the exports of quality wine from the ports of the Kingdom of Naples, thus causing the bad mood of the Venetian merchants.

In the '500 the famous traveler Fra ’Leandro Alberti, author of a monumental" Descriptor "of Italy had appreciated its goodness calling it" so excellent that it is a very delicate thing to taste ".
Since then the "Moscato di Trani" has continued to be increasingly appreciated, until reaching 1974 when the advent of D.O.C. it was perfected and ennobled.
