Famous today for the tourist attraction of its inimitable setting and the splendour of its beach, CALVI was already famous for the excellence of its wines.
As early as 1900, the granite slopes of the Clos Landry were replanted with traditional grape varieties such as Vermentinu, Sciaccarellu and Nielluciu. The poor soil, where only vines and maquis are king, only allows for a low yield that favours a quality harvest.
