Hi Lincoln, thanks for your reply. You can select when to receive your order. You must go to the basket. on the left hand side you will find a series of options, including one that is called "DELIVERY NOTES AND OPTIONS". In that space you will be able to add any notes (for example: do not ring the door bell; or leave it on the rug) as well as the dispatch date. The dates on your "estimated delivery" will be adjusted. Hope this helps!!

Transport firm changed – not good
Nothing wrong in xtraWine, on the contrary, but now you have changed the transport firm from UPS to TNT, and that service is not very good. UPS has been much better.

Good selection and reasonable prices
I have looked for wine e-merchant providing my favorite wines and Xtrawine has a good selection of those. The pricing is reasonable also taking in consideration the taxes added to price when sending the wines to Finland. Collecting the excise makes this service compliant the legal requirements of Finland.
An incorrect wine was delivered and subsequently we were only offered a small discount to have the wine. We decided on returning and refund instead. It’s a pity because we have been long term customers if Xtra wine.

This company is wonderful- reliable and offering a great variety of wines at reasonable prices.
My wine did not arrive. I have emailed to let you know and no-one has been in contact with me.
The tracking notice says it was delivered but it was not.
I expect you to investigate and revert and refund as appropiate.

Great selection, great customer service
Found bottles I couldn't source easily elsewhere. Arrived very well packaged. Customer service team is really responsive and solution oriented. Some of my bottles arrived with the cork out due to extreme heat where I live (and the carrier likely leaving it out in the heat) and the Customer Service team (Giulia) was fantastic, quick and provided a solution immediately. Really great and reliable service.

I have spent more than €10,000 with xtrawine and have received terrible service recently!
After 3 years, 89 orders and spending around €10,000 xtrawine have treated me very badly. I placed an order on the 24th of July but was concerned that the payment has not gone through as it didn’t appear on my back statement. I contacted xtrawine on the 25th of July to verify payment had gone through. I was assured that the shipment would be sent on the 25th. Despite numerous emails from me requesting a verification the order was delayed and on the 26th of July the order was cancelled. I requested that a senior manager contact me but was told that the “administration was particularly busy”! The payment appeared on my back statement this morning the 27th of July! This is unacceptable in normal circumstances but to treat such a good customer in this way is appalling. I am suspending all ordering from xtrawine. Dublin, Ireland

Dear William,
Thanks for your review and we are sorry to hear your experience with xtraWine was not positive this time.
The order results shipped now and we know our CEO has made contact with you to address this issue directly.
However, for clarity's sake, we think we ought to explain the situation. Your order was received on July 25th with a request to be shipped as soon as possible to your home country and arrive by August 2nd.
While you could see payments going through on your side, we couldn't. Very seldom our checkout system has these technical issues but when we do experience these hiccups, it is our legal and ethical responsibility to verify what has gone wrong.
We therefore need to liaise with multiple partners (external as well as internal to the company). This may take up to 48 hours. Unfortunately, and this was particularly unfortunate in your case, our administration at the time was dealing with long queues between Calais and Dover, the aftermath of strikes in Germany and a backlog of administrative tasks that we had to address once the strikes finally came to an end.
Therefore, our Customer Care, bearing in mind that you needed the wine by August 2nd, decided to err on the side of caution, provisionally canceling the order, offering a bonus on your next order and re-input the order once you agreed on a delayed shipping (August 5th).
We hope this helps address any concerns.

Oh and their prices are good too.
A pity they don't ship grappa to Belgium ;-)
