Casa E. Di Mirafiore est située à Serralunga d'Alba, dans la province de Cuneo (Piémont). Dans les paysages reconnus comme patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco, avec ses domaines de Barolo et Serralunga, Casa E. di Mirafiore se dresse depuis 1878 avec ses caves historiques fondées par le fils du premier roi d'Italie, Emanuele Alberto, comte de Mirafiore. Si aujourd'hui tout le monde connaît et parle du Barolo, c'est aussi grâce à Mirafiore, l'une des premières maisons de vin à le produire, et peut-être la première à l'avoir exporté dans le monde entier.

Dans ce domaine, fondé en 1878 par Emanuele Alberto, comte de Mirafiore, fils de Vittorio Emanuele II et de Bella Rosina, la qualité est au rendez-vous grâce aussi à deux des plus grands crus de toute la Langa : Lazzarito et Paiagallo, situés sur les plus belles collines de Serralunga et de Barolo. Harvest The grapes, harvested into small 20 kg crates, are brought immediately into the cellar.
Wine making If necessary, they are cooled in a cooling cell to a temperature of 12/15 °C and then pressed. They are not subject to traditional destemming in order to prevent the stems from being damaged and to very gently extract only the free-run juice. The must decants in the tank for 24/36 hours, during which time the coarser sediments settle and are separated from the must by racking. At this point, the clear must is brought to a temperature of 16 °C to facilitate the start of alcoholic fermentation, which usually lasts at least three weeks.
