The estate's allure, its unique territory, and the character of Sangiovese wine have driven Enrico and Marco Faccenda to invest in a new ambitious project, broadening their horizon to include the Tuscan hills. Their adventure started in the very heart of Roero, in the Piedmont region, where they dedicated themselves to Cascina Chicco - the family farming business - and then acquired wineries in the most prestigious areas of this designation to include also the exclusive Barolo di Monforte and Barbaresco Cru.
Thanks to a perfect understanding with Luisiana and Emanuele Schembri, and strengthened by their experience, the Faccenda brothers saw in Croce di Mezzo an ambitious entrepreneurial and wine-making challenge they couldn't pass on, and they seized it by acquiring it in 2022.
Everything revolves around the Faccendas and Schembris' strong ties with the world of wine and is enhanced by their curiosity and courage of facing new, exciting goals, and constantly leaning toward the future, without forgetting their homeland.
Today, the fourth generation is ready to be the new protagonist - young and passionate, yet with decades of wine-making experience and tradition behind them, they are embarking on this new adventure, while remaining true to the values of excellence and full loyalty to the terroir, which their family has always embraced.
