History	There is some debate as to the origin of Moscato Giallo. Many wine historians believe that it was brought to northern Italy from the Middle East by the famous Venetian merchants of the Middle Ages. However, a probable close genetic relationship with Moscato Bianco contradicts this theory, and it is now thought that Moscato Giallo is native to northeastern Italy.
