Legend has it that Judas, once he died, repented of his betrayal to Jesus and was therefore forgiven. He was later resurrected in Broni, in Oltrepò Pavese, where the citizens, having recognised him, tried to kill him. Judas, however, healed the vines from disease, so, in gratitude, the local people gave his name to the wine. Hence, the name Blood of Judas. |

Clayey, slimy with arenaceous limestone. |
Vinification |
Grape pressing and destemming, cold pre-fermentation to extract colour and aromas and fermentation at 25 °C controlled temperature with cultured yeasts. |
Ageing |
In stainless steel vats. Natural fermentation in pressure tank with macro oxygenation at 14 °C with cultured yeast. |
