Tenuta Pertinello

Pertinello is a vineyard and winemaking enterprise owned by the Mancini family. Founded in 1996, the entire enterprise is spread along part of the Upper Valley of the River Bidente, in close contact with the Romagna side of the Casentinesi Forest National Park, between 300 and 500 metres above sea level, in the arenaceous hills of Galeata and Civitella di Romagna.

The estate covers a total of 55 hectares, 15 of them planted with vines and the rest covered by the woodlands which surround the entire wine-growing area. The interaction between the woods, the high altitudes and the characteristics of the soil is what makes Pertinello a truly unique winemaker in the Romagna area.

This blend of factors endows each grape variety cultivated here with a distinctive and recognisable identity, whether Sangiovese, Pinot Noir, Albana and Riesling, giving the wines made from them added elegance, freshness and juiciness, plus an outstanding gastronomic vocation.

Proximity to the highest Apennine peaks of the region, a continuous ventilation and wide diurnal temperature variations during the hottest seasons of the year favour environmentally sustainable grape growing methods, thanks to which the Pertinello vineyard has been certified as "organic" since the 2015 vintage.
