To be Germany's oldest sparkling wine producer at over 190 years is not an achievement, but an obligation - namely to make the difference that the experience of almost two centuries makes. Anyone who has been making sparkling wine for as long as Kessler has learned above all that there is no compromise and certainly no substitute for quality.
For us, the decisive factor is to identify the type of wine with which we can succeed in offering sparkling wine connoisseurs an unmistakable taste experience. Since its foundation, the House of Kessler has always relied on the traditional method and the bottle fermentation process. The house's top sparkling wines are now all produced according to the "méthode traditional", which our company founder Georg Christian von Kessler brought back to Germany from Champagne 190 years ago. A part of our production is still stored in the medieval maturing cellars of the Kessler House and shaken by hand.
