In the early 20th century, Josetta's father, Ernesto, began cultivating the vineyards he inherited from his father. In 1975, at a very young age, Josetta decided to take over her father's vineyards. With a degree in agriculture and flanked by her husband Roberto, an oenologist, she began cultivating the vineyards planted by her grandparents immediately after the Second World War. After a few years, Josetta and Roberto saw their efforts rewarded and succeeded in producing a Nebbiolo of recognised quality. In 1985 the first Barolo with the current label was presented, resulting from a passion and commitment that never failed. After a break in the 1990s, Sara, Josetta and Roberto's daughter, also decided to dedicate herself to the family vineyards. Sara represents the fourth generation of farmers, and with the same dedication, she is committed to perpetuating a tradition over two hundred years old.
In the years that have passed, the single-hectare vineyard from which the entire production originated has grown to five, most of them planted with Nebbiolo da Barolo and located in the cru of Castelletto, in the heart of the Langhe. The vineyards were chosen with particular attention to their excellent microclimate and soil.
