It all began in 1893 when Luigi Cecchi became a professional wine taster. The wine taster's profession, widespread in Europe, was still unknown in Italy. However, Luigi understood how the potential of Italian viticulture could reach the top of world oenology if the quality of the wines produced was recognised. In the early 20th century, Luigi was joined by his son Cesare. Together they gave life to the first Cecchi-branded wine commercialisation, which was already decisively looking towards international markets at the time.
Having gained international credibility and prestige, planning the investments needed to conquer the future became essential. Luigi, the founder's grandson, is the crucial figure of this period. With him, the Cecchi brand distinguished itself on the national wine scene for technological innovations, research into new territories and commercial intuition.
Today, Andrea and Cesare Cecchi lead the company with the same enthusiasm and entrepreneurial skills that characterised their predecessors. Maintaining the precious experience they inherited, the two brothers have focused their attention on production sustainability and the ability of wines to express the land they come from, guaranteeing exciting prospects and always new markets.
