Castello Monaci

Castello Monaci is an imposing mansion of 1500 today used as a location for weddings and events in the heart of the sunniest Puglia: the Salento peninsula.

Salice Salentino is located on the border with Taranto and Brindisi and houses several historic buildings, all linked to the ecclesiastical tradition: the Mother Church of Santa Maria Assunta, the Convent of the Friars Minor and the Monaci Castle, originally built as a military fortification - whose The name is to be attributed to the presence of a settlement of Basilian monks - and then transformed into a private residence by the nobles who succeeded one another.

Today it is owned by a Srl and the Italian Wine Group which produces almost two million bottles of wine with the typical vines of the region: Primitivo, Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera di Lecce and Verdeca. All wines show elegance, strength and character and express the territory in all its radiance, without however ever being heavy or unbalanced.

Added value is the very interesting relationship between quality and convenience of labels that show how it is possible to drink well even every day. The best representative of the company style is the Salice Salentino Aiace Riserva, a decidedly virile wine that tells the spirit of a region.
