The company was founded in 1932, and is based in the village of Cramant, in the north of the Côte des Blancs, which is mainly cultivated with Chardonnay.
The soils of the Côte des Blancs have a limestone subsoil that guarantees perfect drainage.
In the 1930s, Fernand Bouquemont, the great-grandfather of the current owners, decided to produce his wines from vineyards located in the best plots of the Côte des Blancs.
More than eighty years later, the fourth generation, represented by Jean-Etienne and Jean-Emmanuel Bonnaire, is preserving the traditions and spirit of the family with a sense of openness and humility, thus continuing the production of precise, energetic and fresh wines.
