In the 1930s, after the First World War, Giovanni Felluga decided to move to Friuli and, more precisely, to Collio. Marco, the penultimate of Giovanni's seven children, continued the family business and founded the winery of the same name in 1956. To him, trained from a young age at the prestigious school of oenology in Conegliano, we owe the path of innovation, quality and research. The balance with which he combined innovation and tradition made his company a point of reference for the entire territory. Today, continuing along the path of absolute quality he traced is his son Roberto, who represents the fifth generation and now runs both estates: Marco Felluga in Gradisca d'Isonzo (Gorizia) and Russiz Superiore in Capriva del Friuli (Gorizia). Story | The Merlot grapevine, although it is not a native grape, it has long been a part of Friuli’s winemaking tradition after arriving in Friuli in 1880. |

Soil composition | Hilly, formed during the Eocene epoch with an alternation of marls (silts and calcareous clays) and sandstones (cemented sands). The soil is impermeable causing surface water run-off, which leads to a very gentle morphology. |

Wine making | After destemming, grapes macerates in large steel vats for a period that varies depending on the vintage. During this stage, delicate punch-downs are carried out to extract the noble components of the wine's taste and aroma. |
Aging | In small oak casks for 12 months. After bottling, the wine remained in the cellar for approximately 6 months of bottle-aging. |
