Description
What kind of wine it is
Prunotto Langhe Rosato Granadié is a still wine from Piedmont that interprets Nebbiolo in an original and modern style. It displays orange hues and an intense aromatic bouquet, enriched with notes of rose and raspberry. On the palate, it is fresh and balanced, supported by a pleasant tannic structure. Its vibrant acidity makes it perfect for accompanying aperitifs, cheeses, delicate dishes and specialities based on white fish.
Where it comes from
This wine is produced in the heart of the Langhe, an area of excellence located near Alba, on the right bank of the Tanaro river, between the renowned regions of Barolo and Barbaresco. Production is entrusted to Prunotto, a historic winery active since the early twentieth century. Under the guidance of oenologist Gianluca Torrengo, the winery creates a rosé with a marked territorial character, able to elegantly express the unique characteristics of Piedmontese soils.
How it is produced
The grapes are destemmed and crushed immediately after harvesting. The must remains in maceration on the skins for about eight hours at room temperature, a crucial phase to obtain the desired colour and texture. Afterwards, following gentle pressing, alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature. Before bottling, the wine matures for several months in stainless steel tanks at low temperature, thus preserving all its varietal freshness.
