Description
The Colli Pesaresi Doc Bianco is dedicated to Falliero, one of the most romantic characters in Gioacchino Rossini's works, who resolutely and tenaciously faces obstacles and adversities moved by his love for Bianca. The selection and cold processing of Trebbiano Toscano grapes, the local Albanella, grown in the northern hills of the province of Pesaro, give an intense wine, with a fruity and slightly vegetal aroma.

The company chose the Latin name Pisaurum, the ancient name for Pesaro, because the Romans found 'fertile land, vineyards present' here. Our logo recalls the ancient Picenes' wheel of the Stele of Novilara, an ancestral symbol of the Sun, to remind us that progress is an achievement made from generation to generation and that we contribute to building it with our work. In the Pesaro wine-growing panorama, Pisaurum produces high-quality wines and, thanks to the selection work carried out first in the vineyards and then in the cellar, succeeds in interpreting and enriching the ancient oenological flavour of these lands and its distinct types of wines.
The fulcrum of the production are the DOC wines, a selection of fine wines with limited production: the Bianchello del Metauro, cultivated in the hinterland of Fano and the Colli Pesaresi, produced from indigenous vines grown from the sea of Monte San Bartolo to the high clay-limestone hills of Montefeltro.
Alongside the cultivation of the historic Pesaro grape varieties, the company added other types, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Merlot, which enrich our wines in variety and quality. Pisaurum has always paid great attention to production that respects the environment and the wine itself, guaranteed by the experience and deep roots of the terroir of each of our members. Today, more than 50% of grapes comply with organic standards, with the percentage growing yearly. Vinification takes place in the winery in San Lorenzo in Campo, near the medieval town of Pergola, famous for its Golden Bronzes from the Roman era. Read more
