Description
Dolcetto d'Alba, a still red from Piedmont, 13% ABV, produced by Pira Luigi. 2024 vintage, 0.75L bottle. A wine that embodies the winemaking tradition of Serralunga d'Alba, with grapes grown on the hills since the late 19th century. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel fermenters for approximately 8-10 days, followed by aging for 8 months, also in stainless steel tanks. The nose plays with fruity notes, with hints of red berries, wild berries, and cherries. Ruby red in color with purple highlights. On the palate, it has a harmonious balance of acidity, tannins, and alcohol, with a lingering finish.
