Description

Still red from Burgundy, 13% ABV, produced by Philippe Pacalet. 100% Pinot Noir, 2023 vintage. A Grand Cru that embodies the excellence of Burgundy, a wine that promises intense emotions and a unique sensory experience. Philippe Pacalet, a winemaker with deep knowledge of the terroir, carefully selects the grapes to create natural wines that best express the terroir. The soils are clay-limestone with sandy and ferrous components. Fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts, without temperature control. Aged for 17 months in wood on its lees. On the nose, it expresses floral aromas, aromas of small red fruits, currant, raspberry, strawberry, and hints of undergrowth. The flavor is broad and complex, well-structured, with tannins that are still lively and well-presented.

Philippe Pacalet is a Vigneron who is part of the young people who started making wine in Burgundy. He is just over 40 years old, he was previously the director of Domaine Pieuré Roch (until 1999), Domaine of Properties of Henri-Frédéric Roch, one of the people who takes care of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Now Pacalet has various plots for rent in various areas of Burgundy, from which it collects the grapes which, vinified with wisdom, go to produce its "natural" wines. Read more
