Description
Still red wine from Alto Adige DOC, 13.5% ABV, 100% Lagrein, produced by Muri Gries. 0.75 L bottle, 2024 vintage. A Lagrein that embodies the winemaking tradition of the Benedictine monks of Gries, with a history dating back to 1845. Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel for 8 days, aged in large 30-50 hl wooden barrels. The nose is inviting, broad, and complex with notes of violet, chocolate, ripe plum, and spice. Deep purple-red color. Elegant on the palate, it impresses with its velvety texture, dense tannins, and subtle hints of bitter almond. Serve with game, grilled meat, or entrecôte.
