Description
Still white wine from Arbois, in Jura, France, 13.5% ABV, produced by Michel Gahier. 100% Chardonnay, 2022 vintage. A wine that embodies the essence of the Jura, with a Chardonnay that expresses all the minerality and complexity of the terroir. Michel Gahier uses biodynamic methods in managing his vineyards, so no chemicals, poisons, or artificial fertilizers are used. The grapes for this wine are also harvested by hand and aged in old wood so that the wine can "breathe" but no new oak flavors dominate. Subtle floral and fruity notes, followed by spicy nuances. Deep straw yellow. Flavors of honey, pear, and almond abound, and a long, lingering minerality.
