Description
Brut Champagne made using the classic method, produced by Mailly Champagne in the Champagne region. 0.75 L bottle, 2017 vintage. A vintage that celebrates the excellence of Mailly, a Grand Cru rooted in centuries of history. Viticulture in the French municipality of Mailly has been documented since the 13th century. The nose reveals a beautiful combination of fruity, floral, and mineral notes, with citrus aromas followed by hints of pear and peach, ripe wheat aromas, and nuances of yeast and brioche. Bright straw yellow in color. The palate is fresh and creamy, soft on the attack, yet still fruity, intense, and persistent.

In fact, the Mailly winery was founded in 1929, from an initiative aimed at facing the crisis deriving from the devastation of the First World War and the collapse of the markets. As a reaction, a group of winemakers decided to found the maison, starting at the same time to dig the underground cellars, which today extend for about a kilometer.
Currently, the heirs of the founders of the cooperative manage the company, giving the winery its own grapes, from which are born unique and high quality Champagne. Seventy hectares in total, divided into 480 plots, for a production that is around 500 thousand bottles a year: the Mailly Champagne are born from a terroir in which the soil where the vineyards are planted - rich in gypsum, which has the merit of regulating the temperature and humidity - plays an important role, as also fundamental is the care and devotion with which all the practices are followed between the rows and in the cellar. Refined and elegant wines, corresponding to a range of labels that can respond to the most diverse needs. Read more
