Description
Still red wine from Trentino-Alto Adige, 13.5% ABV, produced by Hofstatter. 100% Pinot Noir, 2015 vintage. A wine that expresses the elegance of Pinot Noir through careful vinification and aging that enhances its complexity. Vinification and maturation take place exclusively in stainless steel, followed by a year in pièces of 1st and 2nd passage. Further stabilization in stainless steel and another year of aging. Aged in barrique for 12 months. Smoky notes, with hints of currant, light tar, and a final aroma of wild strawberries. Very clear garnet color. Bold, fairly balanced, still with some acidic-tannic edges and a decidedly persistent finish.
