Description
Organic pas dosé sparkling wine from Franciacorta, produced by Il Mosnel. Blend: 80% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Bianco. 0.75L bottle. A Franciacorta Brut Nature that expresses the purity of the terroir and the mastery of a historic winery. The grapes are harvested by hand in the second half of August. The white wine is pressed in a pneumatic press, separating the first and second pressings. After 12 hours of decanting at 15°C, selected organic yeasts are added for fermentation, partly in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and partly in small oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation and racking precede the blending of the cuvée, which, after adding the tirage liqueur, is bottled in the spring, sealed with a crown cap, and laid horizontally in a stack for secondary fermentation. The stacked bottles remain in the cellars for at least 24 months before riddling. Crystal clear with white gold hues and greenish highlights. It reveals a vibrant energy, ignited by freshness, where the citrus precision of citron and grapefruit fades into floral notes of hawthorn, honeysuckle, and verbena, with a touch of iodine. The fruit has nuances of white peach and gooseberry, and the airy breath of youth, which returns in a generous, flawless sip, taut and dynamic, with a lively and savory finish.

Emanuela Barboglio developed this wine vocation by planting the first specialised vineyards and adopting the new DOC Franciacorta appellation in 1968.
In 1976 the name 'Azienda Agricola Barzanò Barboglio' was abandoned in favour of the current 'il Mosnel', a dialectal toponym of Celtic origin meaning 'pietraia' in Italian, i.e. a heap of stones, on which the company stands.
At the helm of Il Mosnel is the fifth generation of winegrowers, Emanuela Barboglio's sons: Giulio Barzanò takes care of the technical, production and commercial side; while Lucia Barzanò is in charge of marketing, external relations and administration. The family business is supported by a highly trained staff and experienced agronomists and oenologists who constantly follow production and its evolution. Read more

| Aging | The stacked bottles remain 30 months in the company's 17th-century cellars before 'remouage'. Subsequently disgorged and dosed "Brut Nature", they receive the mushroom cap and cork. At least three months of further ageing are finally required before this Franciacorta is put on the market. |
