Story | The Riesling Italico vine is one of the most widespread varieties in Oltrepò Pavese, which has the largest Italian vineyard area with 1,500 hectares of vineyards. Its origin is still uncertain; it could be descended from the Animea Gemella, a vine used by the Romans, or it could come from France or some central European country and from here it would have spread to the Veneto, under Austro-Hungarian rule. |
