Description
The recipe for a herbal bitter, dated 1850, was discovered by chance in a dusty drawer during a furniture move in the family's Pharmaceutical Museum. Alberto Foletto, the fourth generation of pharmacists, revisited the century-old formula, re-balancing the drugs and lengthening the infusion time to achieve maximum organoleptic expression. 26 botanicals, including Trentine larch bark, characterise this bitter produced using artisanal methods.

The distillery has an ancient tradition combined with a passion for liqueurs, herbs and innovation. The Foletto family has passed on this passion and care over time, ensuring that syrups and liqueurs are produced with the same care and professionalism as centuries ago.
The history of the Foletto family is certainly a captivating one: starting out as a pharmacy and pharmaceutical laboratory, the Foletto family began to expand their business into the production of liqueurs and syrups in the late 1800s.
The Foletto pharmacists have handed down from father to son this passion for truly artisanal things, continuing to produce syrups and liqueurs today with the same care and professionalism that they have done for centuries.
A small exhibition of the equipment used in the early 1900s has been open to the public since 2000 (renovated in August 2011 to include the old premises and furniture of the pharmacy, the original furnishings of which date back about 125 years). Read more
