Description
Finlaggan Old Reserve The Vintage is a fruity and lightly peaty Islay Single Malt Scotch. It is produced and bottled by The Vintage Malt Whisky Company, located in the town of Milngavie, 15 kilometers north of Glasgow. VMWC was founded in 1992 by Brian Cook with the aim of promoting and promoting traditionally produced malts from Scotland's finest distilleries worldwide. There are now only about twenty family-run whisky distilleries, and only a dozen of these use artisanal techniques. The survival of the independent distilleries is entrusted to The Vintage Malt Whisky Company, which is not tied to any particular production area. Among the flagship bottles are the Highland Glenalmond and especially the Finlaggan, a Single Malt from the queen of peats, the island of Islay. The Vintage Malt Whisky Finlaggan Old Reserve is still shrouded in mystery: all we know is that the Single Malt comes from Islay, but the producer has taken care not to indicate the specific distillery, active or inactive. Connoisseurs suspect it could be a Laphroaig, a Caol Ila, or an 8-year-old Lagavulin. In any case, The Vintage Malt Finlaggan Old Reserve whisky doesn't even include an age statement, further deepening the mystery. Due to its lightly smoky notes, the bottle is appreciated by palates unaccustomed to heavily peated Scotches.
