Description
A still red Côtes du Rhône Villages Terre d'Argile, produced by Domaine de la Janasse in the Rhône, 2023 vintage. A wine born from the passion of a family that has been producing wines of great character since 1973. Aromas of blackcurrant and concentrated aromas. Dense and full-bodied, it reveals ripe fruit flavors on a long, persistent finish. A wine that best expresses the Rhône terroir, with a blend of Carignan, Grenache, Mourvedre, and Syrah.

Thorough research on soil, exposure and microclimates helped to ideally organize the vineyard. White varieties and syrahs were preferably planted on sandy limestones, exposed eastward of the appellation in order to preserve freshness, acidity and fineness. Mourvedres were planted on clay-limestone soils covered with river rocks so as to reach perfect maturity. Read more
