Description
Pessac Leognan still white, produced by Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte, in the Bordeaux region, France. 2019 vintage. A wine born from the passion of Florence and Daniel Cathiard, owners of the château since 1990. A white that expresses the elegance of Sauvignon and Sémillon, with careful vinification that enhances its freshness. Manual harvest. The nose is quite delicate, with notes of ripe yellow fruit. Swirling the glass reveals a complex aromatic palette of white and yellow fruit (grapefruit, vine peach, apricot, citron), white flowers (lime blossom), spices (fresh ginger), and smoky nuances. Straw yellow in color with green highlights. On the palate, this wine begins crisp and delicious, demonstrating a wonderful balance between richness and freshness. The mid-palate is rich and displays a lovely velvety texture, culminating in a very long, fresh, and aromatically complex finish.
