The Venetian Villa of the Hohelohe Tower provides evidence of this natural wealth, built at the end of the 18th century. This historic residence was a place of representation and holidaying, set in a large agricultural estate. The Venetian Villa combined the practical function of land management with that of recreation and holidaying.
In historical maps, one can see vegetable gardens, olive groves and vineyards. The Villa remained the property of the dynasty of Counts Della Torre Hofer Valsassina until 1849, and then it passed to the family of the Hohenlohe Waldenburg princes.
With foresight and passion since the 1980s, the Terraneo family has pursued this beautiful villa-farming project, making the most of the Karst terroir with the production of wines of great character and olive oil. Read more
