Description
What kind of wine it is
Barbaresco Asili is a still red wine that embodies the essence of Piedmont through the use of Nebbiolo grapes. In the glass, it reveals a garnet red colour, enriched with elegant orange highlights. The bouquet is refined and complex, with clear notes of violet and wild strawberry. On the palate, it offers a full, velvety and harmonious sip, supported by remarkable structural elegance. These characteristics make it perfect for pairing with flavourful first courses, pork, game and cheese selections.
Where it comes from
The origin of this wine is linked to the Asili vineyard, an area with an extraordinary winemaking vocation located in the heart of Barbaresco. The specific conditions of the land allow Nebbiolo to express itself with great finesse and complexity. The signature is that of Bruno Giacosa, a historic winery that works with the aim of delivering in the glass an authentic expression of the terroir of origin, enhancing the uniqueness of this renowned plot.
How it is produced
The production process is based on meticulous vinification, designed to preserve the aromatic integrity and solidity of the fruit. Afterwards, the wine rests in large oak barrels, a choice that encourages a slow natural evolution, giving balance and softness to the tannic structure. This approach ensures remarkable longevity over time. For optimal tasting, it is recommended to serve at a temperature between sixteen and eighteen degrees, preceded by about an hour of decanting.
